   Marie, over the past decades, I had the privilege of being your pen pal, and we also had the joy of meeting in person twice from across the world. Our friendship meant more to me than words can fully express. Through letters and messages, you shared your thoughts, your kindness, and your life with such honesty and warmth, and I am profoundly grateful for every moment of connection we had.

   You were a dear friend, a source of comfort, and a beautiful soul whose presence brought light and meaning to my life. I will always cherish our conversations, your wisdom, and the laughter – and the sarcasm – we shared across the distance half around the world.

   May you rest in peace with your parents and little Claire, and may your memory continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
